Dave Morris will add the title of Bangor Rams football coach after the school board approved his name last night. He becomes the 32nd varsity coach of the Rams football program.

Morris played football and baseball at Bangor in the 1980's. He was a member of championship teams in both sports.

He took over the Bangor baseball varsity coaching job two years ago when Jeff Fahey retired. He also coaches the Comrades American Legion baseball team.

Morris has been an assistant football coach at the varsity level for several seasons and for the past couple of years took over the middle school football team.

The Rams football program has struggled in recent years in the new-look Class A football division in Maine.

Alan Mosca stepped down after three seasons as head coach of the Rams.

NOTE: Morris will be a guest of the 'Morning Pitch Show' this morning at 7:20am.
