Mowrer Scores 4 TD, Orono Beats Bapst

The Orono Red Riots opened week 8 high school football action with a 48-16 win over John Bapst. The victory should get the Riots into the playoffs.

The Thursday night season finale was played at UMaine's Alfond Stadium - the matchup has become Orono-Bapst tradition.

Cam Mowrer powered the Red Riots with 171 yards and 4 touchdowns. Orono finishes 4-4 and will likely be a #4 seed in the LTC playoffs.

The young Crusaders were led by Patrick Leonard with a 100-yard rush game. Bapst finishes 2-6.
