MPA Pushes Field Hockey Regionals To Wednesday

The Maine Principals' Association (MPA) has pushed the North and South Regional field hockey championship games from tomorrow to Wednesday because of projected inclimate weather for Tuesday.

The MPA also set start times for the three title games at each site...

North Regional – Thomas College, Waterville

3:00 p.m. – Class A     Skowhegan Area High School (#1) vs. Mt. Blue High School (#2)

5:00 p.m. – Class C     Winthrop High School (#1) vs. Dexter Regional High School (#2)

7:00 p.m. – Class B     Gardiner Area High School (#1) vs. Winslow High School (#3)

South Regional – Waterhouse Field, Biddeford

3:00 p.m. – Class B     York High School (#1) vs. Freeport High School (#3)

5:00 p.m. – Class C     Mountain Valley High School (#1) vs. Spruce Mountain HS (#2)

7:00 p.m. – Class A     Biddeford High School (#1) vs. Westbrook High School (#2)

* Higher seeded team will be the home team and wear light colored jerseys.

NOTES: The state championship games will be held at the Winkin Complex at Husson University in Bangor on Saturday...The five finalists for Miss Mane Field Hockey (top senior player award) are Madisyn Hartley (MCI), Maliea Kelso (Skowhegan), Elizabeth York (Skowhegan), Alexa Koenig (Freeport) and Liberty Ladd (Falmouth)...Winner to be announced December 2nd.
