Mr. + Miss Basketball List Down To Six [POLL]

It's an all Eastern Maine finalists list for Mr. Maine Basketball - Garet Beal, Mitch Worcester and John Murray. Miss Basketball finalists are Chandler Guerrette, Kristen Anderson and Martha Veroneau.

The six finalists will be honored at the Maine McDonald's High School Senior All Star Awards banquet Friday at Husson University in Bangor and one will be named 2013 Mr. Basketball and one will be named 2013 Miss Basketball, recognizing the players' performances on the court as well as their contributions to their team and basketball in the state of Maine.

Garet Beal is from Jonesport-Beals and has committed to play at UMaine in the fall. Mitch Worcester in a 2,000 point scorer from Washburn. John Murray led his Medomak Valley team to the Class B eastern title last week.

Chandler Guerrette scored 33 points in the state championship game Friday night as her Presque Isle team captured its second consecutive state title. Kristen Anderson from Leavitt HS has committed to play at UNH in the fall. Martha Veroneau scored 34 points Saturday night as her Waynflete HS team won the Class C state title.
