For the second time in recent days, Alfredo Aceves made his spot start count. This time a six inning quality start helping the Sox win in Tampa Bay 2-1.

Aceves gave up just one run, four hits and four walks in six innings to pick up the win. The bullpen did the rest. Andrew Bailey got the save.

Daniel Nava hit a two run home run in the third inning and that turned out to be enough.

At 41-26, the Red Sox now own the best record in the AL and have a three game lead in the east over the Yankees.

A series in Baltimore is next.
