All of a sudden, Maine's Matt Mulligan becomes a very important part of the Patriots run for the playoffs. Rob Gronkowski's season ending knee injury means the former Penobscot Valley HS, Husson and UMaine player may be the number one option at tight end now.

Mulligan played a season high 39 snaps in yesterday's 27-26 comeback win over Cleveland, including a key catch and run from Tom Brady.

Michael Hoomanwanui is another tight end but hasn't played the last three weeks because of injury. And, there are reports the Patriots may bring back DJ Williams, a tight end who was brought in for a week and then released.

The Patriots play in Miami Sunday at 1PM. You will hear live coverage on Sports Radio 92.9 The Ticket.
