Murphy’s Law: BC Beats Maine 40-10 [VIDEO]

Boston College quarterback Tyler Murphy ran for two touchdowns and threw for another as the Eagles beat UMaine 40-10. BC improves to 3-1 while the Black Bears fall to 1-2.

Maine scored the first touchdown of the game, a Dan Collins 11-yard TD pass to Micah Wright.

BC answered with a field goal and a Murphy 73-yard touchdown run.

A Maine field goal tied the score at 10-10 in the second quarter but the Bears would never score again.

The Eagles would go on to outscore Maine the rest of the way 30-0.

Murphy rushed for 99 yards and threw for 130 yards against the Bears defense.

Maine used both Collins and freshman Drew Belcher. Collins was 8-for-13 and 113 yards, Belcher was 2for-5 for 10 yards.

The Black Bears move into CAA conference next week. A game at Towson.
