The Husson University Eagles host Maine Maritime Academy in a Friday night hoops doubleheader at Newman Gymnasium. Both games will be very important in the North Atlantic Conference standings.

The men's game is first on the schedule with the Eagles 4-0 in the NAC. The Mariners are 3-1.

The Eagles are led by senior Justin Martin, averaging 15 points and 9 rebounds per game. He keeps adding to his school record blocks total. Now 185 and counting. A balanced scoring attack has four Eagles averaging double digit points.

MMA is led by senior Adam Richardson, averaging 17.5 points a game.

The women's game features a matchup of two 4-0 teams in the NAC and the two teams who played for the league championship last year.

The Eagles are coming off a loss to the nation's #1 team, Bowdoin College, on Tuesday night.

The game features a player from each team who is likely to become their school's all-time leading scorer. Kenzie Worcester of Husson enters the game with 1,584 career points. Sharon Siebert holds the school mark at 1,882.

MMA senior Alayne Felix enters the game with 1,553 career points. The Mariners record is held by Michelle Gott-Miles with 1,600 points.

And then there's Husson coach Kissy Walker. Now in her 28th year as head coach, she enters play tonight needing three wins to reach the 500 mark. Walker is already the winningest coach in program history.
