NAC: Husson Hoops Sweeps MMA

The second half of the North Atlantic Conference schedule starts with a doubleheader sweep by the Husson Eagles over Maine Maritime Academy.

Husson Men 93   MMA 56:  Raheem Anderson starts his final semester of hoops with 24 points in the Eagles win Saturday afternoon. The Eagles led by 34 at the half and then the two teams played even for much of the second half.

DJ Bussey came off the bench to scored 17 and Justin Martin scored 14 and nine rebounds for the Eagles.

Riley Jorgenson had 14 and Nick DePatsy had 10 for the Mariners.

Husson is now 5-0 NAC, 8-2 overall. MMA drops to 0-5 and 2-10.

Husson Women 69  MMA 61: Kenzie Worcester scored 36 points and became the fastest Eagles player to reach the 1,000 point mark (66 games). Sami Ireland scored 13 points and hauled down 10 rebounds.

Alayne Felix had 16 points and 10 rebounds for MMA. Melinda Ogden also had 16 points.

Husson improves to 4-1 NAC, 5-5 overall.

MMA is now 2-3 and 5-5
