The Husson Eagles will play Castleton for the North Atlantic Conference baseball title today and the Eagles will have to beat the Spartan twice in order to win the championship.

After losing to Castleton 7-5 in 12 innings Saturday afternoon, the Eagle came back to beat Thomas College in the loser's bracket game and get a crack at the Spartans.

Dan Whitney pitched a complete game, scattering nine hits to beat the Terriers.

J.T. Whitten hit a 7th inning grand slam. Ryan Rebard added three hits.

The title game starts at 10am Sunday. If the Eagles win, they force a winner-take-all game immediately following that game.

The NAC title winner gains automatic entrance into the NCAA playoff field.

Husson Athletics

The Husson softball team was eliminated from its tournament, losing 6-1 to Thomas College. The Eagles finish the NAC tourney with a 1-2 record.
