Napoli Walk-off Beats Yankees In 11th

Mike Napoli hit two homeruns Sunday against the Yankees but the second was the game winner in the bottom of the 11th inning to give the Sox a 8-7 win.Boston blew a 7-3 lead as New York scored two runs in both the 6th and 7th innings to tie the game at 7 apiece. The game then stayed scoreless until the Napoli launched the walk-off homerun with two outs in the 11th bringing the game to an end just before 1am Monday.

The Sox now open a 4-game series with Tampa Bay who trails Boston by just 1.5 games. Brandon Workman will get the start in game 1 against Matt Moore of the Rays.
