For the second time in as many days and for the 11th time this season the Red Sox walked-off with a win beating Seattle 8-7.The Sox trailed 7-1 after 7 innings before starting their comeback. In the top of the 9th Jonny Gomes made a great defensive play when he threw out a runner at 3rd base. In the bottom of the inning with 5 runs already in Gomes singled to drive in Shane Victorino to tie the game. After Stephen Drew walked to load the bases, Daniel Nava came to the plate and hit the first pitch to center field to and drive in the game winner.
Steven Wright pitched 3 innings of scoreless relief to get his second win of the season.
Boston now begins an interleague series as the Arizona Diamondbacks come to Fenway Park for three games. Jon Lester will be on the mound looking for his 11th win.
