The Husson University field hockey team went to Babson College and knocked off the #5 team in Division III. The Eagles 1-0 victory is the first NCAA playoff win in program history.

Not only was Babson ranked #5, the Beavers played in the D-III final four last year.

Mikayla Toth, a senior and former Skowhegan HS player, scored on a blast from the left circle almost 14 minutes into the second half. For Toth, it was her sixth goal of the year, and her biggest.

Goalie Anne Marie Provencal made 11 saves to preserve the win.

The Eagles improve to 13-5 and move on to the 2nd round of the NCAAs. The opponent is (17-3) #15 University of Rochester (NY).
