The Bangor High School football losing skid is over. Sophomore tailback James Neel scored two touchdowns while the Rams defense did the rest in a 14-0 victory over Windham.

Bangor's losing streak ends at 18 games, a skid that began in 2015.

The Rams scored their first touchdown on their second possession of the night. Neel on a two-yard rush as time expired in the first quarter. The PAT by Cason Markevich made it 7-0.

Neel scored from one yard away with 25-seconds left before halftime and with another PAT the Rams led 14-0. The score came at the end of a 71 yard drive by Bangor.

Both Neel and senior fullback Gabe Higgins rushed for over 100 yards.

The Bangor seniors, like Higgins and quarterback Zach Milliken win their first ever game in their high school career.

"I've been playing with most of the these guys since the fourth grade and all we've done is lose...Lose, lose lose. Now this is the best feeling in the world," said senior lineman Zeb Wilson.

"These kids are a special group. What they've been through...it's a good example for all us, never give up. We're so proud of them for hangin' in there," said new head coach Dave Morris.

The 1-1 Rams will host Deering HS next Friday night at Cameron Stadium.
