New Turf Coming To The Wink

Work crews are removing the 14-year-old turf at the John Winkin Complex at Husson University and the new turf will be down and ready by sometime in early July.

The project will also include a new scoreboard.

Along with the new turf and scoreboard, the school's Athletics Weight Room will be renovated and equipment added. This room is used by the 21 varsity sports. That project will be completed by the fall as well.

"We are proud to continue the legacy of John Winkin and what he meant to Husson University. This facility will continue that legacy," said Husson AD Frank Pergolizzi in a school press release.
