The Brewer Witches closed out the regular season on a high note while the Bangor Rams limp into the playoffs after a 68-53 Brewer win. After seven lead changes over the first 12 minutes of the game, Brewer took the lead for good as Brendan Newcomb started to heat up with four minutes to play in the first half. Newcomb, one of three seniors playing his final high school game torched the Rams for 30 points including four 3-pointers and a 6-7 performance at the free throw line. Sophomores Logan Rogerson added 18 points and Matt Pushard 12. Brewer finishes the season with a 5-13 record.

Bangor played without starting center Connor Adams who injured his knee last game out. He did receive good news as it was first thought to be a torn ACL, further tests however show no tear or structural damage and the team hopes he can be ready for the quarterfinal round of the tournament.

Xavier Lewis scored a team high 24 points in the loss while Alex Campbell added 14. The Rams are 13-5 and will be the number three seed in the tournament.
