Former UMaine Black Bear Devin Shore has been traded by the Dallas Stars to the Anaheim Ducks.

Dallas gets back 12-year veteran Andrew Cogliano in the deal.

Shore was drafted by Dallas in the 2nd round in 2012 and left UMaine to turn pro after his junior year. He has played in parts of four seasons with the Stars. This season, Shore has 5 goals and 12 assists in 42 games.

Cogliano brings a veteran presense to a Dallas team coached by former UMaine captain Jim Montgomery.

The Stars have lost two in a row but currently sit in 3rd place in the Central Division at 23-19-4.

Anaheim is a game over .500 and buzz is they may be trading a bunch of players to built for the future.

Shore is 24-years-old, Cogliano is 31.

NOTE: Another Dallas players, goalie Ben Bishop, is also a former Black Bears. Bishop is 15-11-0-2 with a 2.39 GAA in 29 games.
