Tonight's Portland Seadogs season opener at Hadlock Field has been postponed due to unplayable field conditions - too much snow.

Mother Nature dropped snow in southern Maine too and so the Dogs vs Reading game has been pushed back to May 23rd.

That means the opener is now tomorrow night at 6pm against Reading.

Seadogs officials had guaranteed that the team would play April 9th and so the postponement means anyone with a ticket for tonight's game can exchange the ticket for two tickets to any future Seadogs game.

The Weather Channel's Keith Carson, a former Portland TV meteorologist, was scheduled to throw out the first pitch. Seadogs management folks say they are not blaming Carson for the postponement.
