Red Sox win #91 was anything but easy. The Sox coughed up the lead in the 8th inning only to get it back. They coughed up the lead again in the 9th inning only to get it back again. In the end, a Miami Marlins error allowed the Sox a walk off win 8-7.

What a night at Fenway!

Seemingly in command 4-1 late in the game, the bullpen gave up five runs in the 8th inning. Matt Barnes and Heath Hembree could not hold down the fort.

The Sox offense came back in the bottom of the inning to score three times and grab the lead. Jackie Bradley Jr had the big hit to tie the game. Ian Kinsler scored on a wild pitch to take the lead.

But then Craig Kimbrel faltered in the 9th, giving up the tying run, 7-7.

The Sox came back in the bottom of the 9th and scored the winning run on an Eduardo Nunez infield bouncer that should have been a double play ball but a throwing error allowed the winning run to score.

Nunez, J.D. Martinez, Xander Bogaerts and Ian Kinsler all had two hits.

Kimbrel blows the save but gets the win.

The Sox stop a three game losing skid and improve to 91-42.

Turns out the win was needed because the Yankees also scored a walk off win.

The Red Sox lead remains 6.5 games with another game vs the Marlins tonight. Pregame coverage on Sports Radio 92.9 The Ticket starts at 5:50pm this evening.
