The UMaine women's basketball team took on the #8 in the country, the Ohio State Buckeyes Sunday and lost 83-70.

Even a school record-tying seven three-pointers by Julie Brosseau wasn't enough to beat the Buckeyes.

Brosseau led the Black Bears with 29 points. Tanesha Sutton added 18 and Blanca Millan had 13.

Ohio State came into the game as one of the nation's top scoring teams (90 PPG). They finished with 83. Maine did hold down their leading scorer, Kelsey Mitchell, to 11 points.

The Buckeyes improve to 8-2.
