Old Bangor Auditorium Seats Sell Quickly

Over 300 pairs of seats from the old Bangor Auditorium went on sale Friday afternoon and within 2 1/2 hours they were gone! Basketball fans lined up to get their piece of history from "the old barn on Dutton Street".

The newly formed Maine Basketball Hall of Fame group coordinated the seat sale with proceeds going to the design and construction for the Hall of Fame area within the new Cross Insurance Center.

There will be no Saturday sale with all seats scooped up Friday afternoon.

Meanwhile, construction crews continue to bring down the old auditorium withe official opening of the Cross Center set for this fall.
