Old Town Knocked Out Of JR Regional

The run for the Old Town Junior League All Star is over after losing Saturday afternoon to Maryland 7-1 at the LL Junior Division East Regional in New Jersey.

Old Town, the District #3 and Maine state champ, went 0-2 in the regional.

Saturday's game was delayed from the morning to the afternoon because of rain in New Jersey.

The Capital City LL Maryland team scored three runs in the first two innings and never gave up that early lead.

The Old Town all stars were held to just two hits all day. Casey Downs knocked in the only run in the 4th inning.

Old Town is eliminated while Maryland advances with its 1-1 record.
