It's a big weekend for Old Town Little League baseball - two teams are playing in state championship tournaments on the road while the Old Town league itself hosts a state tourney.

LITTLE LEAGUE 11/12s STATE TOURNAMENT     HOST SITE: MACHIAS

> Old Town will be the District #3 team at the state tourney and will be joined by Saco, South Portland, Lewiston, Machias and Waldo County. Double elimination play starts today and goes through Wednesday, July 25th (If Nec-Thursday). Winner moves on to the New England Regional in Bristol, Connecticut.

LITTLE LEAGUE JUNIOR STATE TOURNAMENT     HOST SITE: MANSFIELD STADIUM

> Old Town's 13/14s won the District #3 tourney and will play in a three-district state tournament on Saturday and Sunday at Mansfield Stadium. The state winner advances to the East Regional in New Jersey.

LITTLE LEAGUE 9/10s STATE TOURNAMENT     HOST SITE: OLD TOWN

> While Old Town's two teams go on the road for state title play, their Knights of Columbus Field will be host site for the the 9/10s state tourney. Hermon is the District #3 winnert. The other five teams are Machias, South Portland, Saco, Lewiston and Waldo County. The double elimination tourney starts Saturday and runs through Saturday, July 28th. The state winner can play in a regional invitational tournament in Rhode Island.
