After a slow start that was plagued by turnovers the Old Town Coyotes kicked it into gear and cruised by John Bapst 61-37 for their first win of the season.Junior Adam Richardson scored 10 points in the first quarter to help the Coyotes go into the locker room at the half with a nine point lead, a half that also saw them out rebound the Crusaders 17-7.

In the second half Nick Cowan, a transfer from New Hampshire scored six quick points to help extend the Old Town lead. Cowan finished with a team high 12 points while Hermon transfer Eric Hoogterp added 11 which included 3 for 5 shooting from the 3-point arch.

John Bapst falls to 0-2 on the season and was paced by Cody Lyons who hit four 3-pointers for a team high 12 points.

Old Town will host Presque Isle on Saturday while John Bapst plays at Ellsworth.
