The Old Town Coyotes took home the Class B North Softball Championship on Wednesday afternoon from Brewer with a 2-1- victory over Winslow.

The Coyotes and the Red Raiders battled back and forth throughout the contest and the game was tied heading into the final inning of the seven inning affair.  Mikayla Richards would break the deadlock in the top of that seventh inning with a double.  She would later steal third and scored on a wild pitch to give Old Town the lead.  That would be the final run of the game as Winslow would throw out another runner at home to complete the frame.  After a quick and clean bottom of the seventh inning, Old Town walked out of the championship game as the victors.

The Coyotes moved their record to 16-3 on the year and are currently on an eight game winning streak.  The Red Raiders finished their 2016 campaign with a 16-3 mark.  Old Town will face York who beat Greely 4-3 in the South Region championship match-up
