The Orono Red Riots pulled away from a game MDI Trojans team in the fourth quarter on their way to a 61-50 win and a spot in the Class B North semifinals.

It was a closer game than the final score would indicate with the No. 5 Trojans MDI holding the lead at halftime and cutting an Orono lead to 3 points with 3:49 to go. But the No. 4 Red Riots sunk key free throws at the end of the game, sealing the win.

Imao Woldring led the Red Riots (15-4) with 13 points. Jake Koffman and Keenan Collett each had 11 points and junior Nate Desisto had 9 points. Jackson Coutts had 7 points.

For MDI, which finishes at 15-5, Riley Swanson had 11 points.

The two teams met once earlier this year. Orono prevailed in that January match-up 62-52.
