The Red Riots have won the state title for four straight years and will look to make it five this weekend.  Orono took home the PVC title last weekend behind some strong efforts from Tia Tardy, Lauren Stoops, Hannah Steelman, and Kate O’Brien and hope to continue that through Saturday.  Tardy is looking to continue her dominance in the long distance, while Stoops is also hoping to defend her winning marks in the competition from 2015.

The boy’s side also was strong in the PVCs, winning by 91 points behind the effort of Junior Jake Koffman.  Koffman won three different throwing events and will look to set the official state record this weekend after besting that mark by nine feet in an unofficial meet last month.
