The Red Sox unloaded on the Blue Jays Monday night 14-1. The suddenly red hot Sox hit four home runs, two by David Ortiz and one each from Mike Napoli and Stephen Drew. The 14 runs and 18 hits are season highs for the team.

They have already scored 84 runs in 16 games in July. The Sox only scored 84 runs in all of June.

They have now won five games in a row and eight out of nine.

Staked to a big lead early in the game, John Lackey cruised for seven innings, giving up just two baserunners all night.

At 47-52, the Sox are within 6 games of a wildcard spot.
