The slow march to the end of the Red Sox season continued last night with a 4-1 loss to Baltimore. The Sox got decent pitching from some youngsters but the Orioles got timely hits while the Sox left too many runners on base. Sound familiar?

Starter Anthony Ranaudo last just 3 1/3 innings and giving up three home runs. Matt Barnes made his major league debut pitching the final three innings and looked impressive.

Xander Bogaerts hit his 10th home run run.

The Sox are a season high 22 1/2 games out of first place.
