The Baltimore Orioles hit better and pitched better than the Boston Red Sox so the scoreboard didn't lie at Fenway. O's 8 Sox 3. The drama-filled four series ends with each team winning two games.

They meet again in early June.

The Sox used Kyle Kendrick as their starter for the injured Steven Wright. He was ok until the 4th inning when the Orioles scored five times, three of them on a 466-blast by Manny Machado, over the green monster and out of Fenway Park.

In total, the O's pounded 17 hits.

The Sox could manage just nine hits, including a Dustin Pedroia home run.

Now it's on to Minnesota and Milwaukee for the Sox.
