Henry Owens is pitching for the Pawtucket Red Sox these days. But managers and the media have not forgotten what he did this summer for the Portland Seadogs. Owens has been voted Eastern League Double-A Pitcher of the Year.

The highly touted prospect dominated games when on the hill for the Dogs. 20 starts and a 14-4 record. His ERA was 2.60. In 121 innings, Owens struck out 126 batters.

Owens Pitcher of the Year honor comes just two days after the International League Triple-A Pitcher of the Year honor went to Pawsox pitcher Anthony Ranaudo.

Ranaudo also won the Eastern League top pitcher award in 2014. Jon Lester won the award as a Seadog back in 2005.

Portland's first year manager Billy McMillon has been named Eastern League Manager of the Year. His Seadogs are headed for a first place finish in the division and despite a lot of player turnover, his team remains 30+ games over .500.
