You can add Panama and Italy to the list of international teams coming to Bangor for next month's Senior Little League World Series. The 15 and 16-year-old team from Panama won the Latin America regional. Italy won the Europe & Africa regional.

10 teams will compete at Mansfield Stadium in Bangor from August 11-17 for the world title in this division of Little League baseball. It will be the 12th straight year that Bangor has hosted this event.

So far, the Philippines, Panama and Italy have won the right to play in the series. There will also be a team from Canada.

The Maine district #3 winner will play in the world series as host team. Plus, five regional teams from around the USA.

In the Latin American regional championship game this weekend, Panama defeated Venezuela 1-0. Italy defeated Great Britain 7-2 for the Europe & Africa regional.
