David Ortiz clubbed home run #498. As a team, the Red Sox collected 14 hits. And, on the mound Joe Kelly made it eight straight. It all spells a 10-4 Sox blowout over first place Toronto Blue Jays last night.

Ortiz hit his 3-run homer in the third inning and now just two away from 500. The team begins a nine game roadtrip tomorrow night so there is a good chance Ortiz gets to the milestone away from Fenway.

Meanwhile, starter Joe Kelly threw 110 pitches in 5.2 innings but allowed just one run. He is now 10-6 overall. His eight game win streak is the best for a Sox pitcher since Pedro Martinez won nine in a row back in 1999.
