The New England Patriots might have been thinking about the future when their second round pick came up on Friday night. The Pats selected quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo with the 62nd overall pick, a player some think could be the next guy in when the Tom Brady era ends. Garroppolo turned heads by putting up some big numbers in the FCS division of college football playing at Eastern Illinios. He finished the season with 5,050 yards, an average of 360 pergame, and 53 touchdowns.

The Pats traded their third round pick for extra selections in the fourth and sixth rounds on Saturday.
