With the Winter Classic taking place at Gillette Stadium the Patriots left for Florida early for Sunday's game with the Dolphins. Although several key players were not present. The team arrived in Florida Thursday night and took up residence at Florida Atlantic University as the school is on semester break.

The injury problem reared its ugly head again as several starters were unavailable for practice despite going through their last workout in Foxborough.

According to reports out of Boston wide receiver Julian Edelman who has missed the last weeks with a fractured ankle did not make the trip. Also not with the team was Rob Ninkovich who has been dealing with an injury to his shin, Jonathan Freeny (hand), Sebastian Vollmer (ankle) and Justin Coleman (concussion). Those players along with Dont'a Hightower (knee) and Chandler Jones (abdomen) have been listed as out for Sunday's game on the final injury report.

Wide receiver Danny Amendola and safety Patrick Chung did participate in Friday's practice but both wore red non-contact jerseys.
