Pats Dump QB Flynn, Add Lindley

ESPN is reporting that the New England Patriots are releasing quarterback Matt Flynn and will sign former Cardinals QB Ryan Lindley.

Flynn has been on the active/non-football injury list with a hamstring injury.

The move is perhaps tied to Thursday's exhibition season opener vs Green Bay. With the Tom Brady deflategate court appearance Wednesday, how much will he play Thursday. And, if you need someone to be able to replace Jimmy Garoppolo, you need a healthy #3 QB.
