Pats Outlast Fish For 6th Win
The New England Patriots did it the hard way but scored 24 unanswered second half points to beat Miami 27-17.Tom Brady threw for just 161 yards and a touchdown, connecting with rookie Aaron Dobson in the third quarter cutting the lead to seven points. Brandon Bolden tied the game with a 2-yard run before the Pats took the lead on a Stephen Gostowski field goal. Steven Ridley capped the scoring with a 3-yard touchdown run.
New England managed just 252 yards of offense and struggled again on third down converting just 2 out of 10 attempts. Likewise the defense couldn’t get off the field on third down as the Dolphins converted 8 of their 17 attempts.
The win improves the Patriots record to 6-2 as they get ready to host the Steelers next Sunday.
