The New England Patriots and Denver Broncos meet today for the AFC Championship and a trip to the Super Bowl. The Pats are playing in the 10th AFC title game where they have a 7-2 record. New England came back from a 24 point deficit earlier this season and won the regular season match-up. This time they meet in Denver where the Pats have never won a playoff game. In 1986 and 2005 they played in the divisional round with the Broncos coming out on top. Quarterback Tom Brady has not had his best games against the Broncos, the only team he has a losing record against (4-5).

What To Watch For:

  • With a win the Patriots advance to their 8th Super Bowl, tying Dallas and Pittsburgh for most Super Bowl appearances.
  • Bill Belichick needs one more postseason win to move into a first place tie with Tom Landry for most postseason wins with 20.
  • Tom Brady needs four more touchdowns to pass Joe Montana (45) and Brett Favre (44) for the all-time lead.
