Pats Trade For Titans LB Ayers

With linebacker Jerod Mayo out for the season with a knee injury, the New England Patriots have traded for Tennessee Titans LB Akeem Ayers.

The deal is pending a physical but if the deal goes through, the Pats would get Ayers and 7th round pick. The Titans would get a 6th round pick.

Ayers is 6-foot-3 and 255 pounds. He has been inactive for five of the seven Tennessee games so far this season. He had knee surgery in the off season.
