The New England Patriots have traded veteran offensive lineman Logan Mankins to the Tampa Bay Bucs. Mankins is a six time pro bowl player and is 32-years-old.

In exchange for Mankins, the Patriots get tight end Tim Wright and a 2015 draft pick (ESPN's Adam Schefter reports it is a 4th round pick).

Mankins had spent his entire nine year career in Foxboro and has been one of Tom Brady's main protection guys over the years.

Look for Dan Connolly and Marcus Cannon to get the line time in place of Mankins.

Wright is a 6-foot-4, 220 pound pass catching tight end who played his college ball at Rutgers.

NOTE: The Patriots play the New York Giants Thursday night in the final preseason game. You can hear the game live on Sports Radio 92.9 The Ticket. Coverage begins at 4:30PM.
