After two weeks of waiting through the bye week the New England Patriots get back on the field today for a divisional playoff game against the Kansas City Chiefs.

The two weeks have been filled with monitoring injured players and dealing with the Chandler Jones situation. Today they get back to football and do so against the hottest team in the NFL. This will also be the first time the teams have met in the playoffs.

The big question for the Patriots is the health of tight end Rob Gronkowski who has not practiced this week because of a bad knee which required an injection on Thursday and a back injury that was first revealed in the final injury report of the week. Reports are good on wide receiver Julian Edelman who has been out since week 10 with a fractured foot.

Kansas City comes into the riding an 11 game win streak that continued last week in their wildcard blowout of the Houston Texans. Former Maine Black Bear Mike Devito returns to his home state for today's game and will have 30 plus family members and friends in the stadium for support.

While they have never played in the playoffs, the Pats are 10-6-2 against the Chiefs all-time in games played in Foxborough.
