Since 1998, Paul Pierce has been the face of the Boston Celtics. Now, at the age of 35 and at the end of his career, the Celtics have traded Pierce. Is that right?

Word of a big trade that would send Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett to the Brooklyn Nets began to surface last week. Rumors quickly turned to fact, and Pierce will in fact be on a different team next year than the one he's spent his entire career on.

The question is, did the Celtics do the right thing when it comes to Paul Pierce? He's gone through good and bad times (some very bad) in Boston, so should he have been allowed to finish his career in Boston?
