The Boston Red Sox terrible west coast trip continued Tuesday night in an 8-2 loss to the Seattle Mariners.The Mariners hit two homeruns off Sox starter Jake Peavy who was tagged for 7 runs on 8 hits over just 5 innings of work. Kyle Seager hit a 3-run shot in the 5th inning and was followed by Mike Zunino's solo blast two batters later.

The Boston offense failed once again to produce with runners on base, leaving 12 on in the game and going 0-9 with runners in scoring position.

The series concludes tonight with Clay Buchholz returning to the mound following his stay on the DL.
