Whatever skipper John Farrell said before the game Friday night in Toronto, it seemed to work. The Red Sox pounded the Blue Jays 8-1. The Sox ripped 16 hits, Jack Peavy pitched 7 innings of one run ball and the team was flawless in the field.

No one is saying exactly what Farrell said to players or what form of meeting took place, but the skipper and his coaches did gather the troops in Toronto after Thursday night's loss to the Yankees.

Jackie Bradley Jr and AJ Pierzynski each had 3 hits. Three others had 2 hits, including Will Middlebrooks who played in his first game since coming off the DL.

David Ortiz cranked his 5th home run and check out just how far he hit it!
