12-year-old Faith Sjoberg from Presque Isle finished in third place in the nation at the Elks Hoop Shoot Competition in Chicago over the weekend.

Sjoberg competed in the girls 12/13 age group and had to win at the local, state and regional level to get to the national event. It is her second straight year making it to the national level.

She made 23 of 25 free throws missing a chance to tie the overall champ by just one free throw. Sjoberg hit all 15 shots to get the #3 spot in the nation.

Sophie Phillips from New York won the competition.
