State Police say they consider a man wanted in connection with the death of his ex-girlfriend armed and dangerous. Anyone who may cross paths with Robert Burton is urged not to approach him, but rather call State Police and report his whereabouts.

37-year-old Stephanie Ginn Gebo was found unresponsive by her two children on Friday morning at her home in Parkman. Until just recently, 38-year-old Burton had lived at the home with Gebo. Since her death, there's been no sign of Burton.

Police have not named Burton as a suspect, but say that he's wanted for questioning. He has an extensive criminal history that includes convictions for kidnapping and assault with a deadly weapon. The relationship between Burton and Gebo ended a week ago, according to police, but it's unknown whether she had taken out a protection order against him. So far, police have not said how Gebo died.

Robert Burton is described as 5'11" tall, 180 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes. Police say he drives a black, 4-wheel drive Toyota Tacoma pickup with an extended cab. The truck has a Maine wildlife license plate 489-AKJ.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts is urged not to approach Burton, but call State Police in Bangor at 973-3700 or dial 911 on your cell phone.
