Rick Porcello had one of his best outings in 2017, but lost to the Tampa Bay Rays by a score of 1-0 Saturday.

Porcello pitched a complete game and allowed six hits and one run, while striking out seven.  Jesus Sucre broke the deadlock with a sacrifice fly in the second inning to provide all the offense in the game.  Alex Cobb picked up the win, going 7.2 innings pitched with just two hits and one walk.

The Sox offense provided just three hits during the contest and dropped their record down to 50-38.  Boston is still up 3.5 games in the AL East and will play the final game before the All-Star Break on Sunday afternoon with David Price on the mound.
