37-year-old Australian racer Will Power took over the lead at the Indianapolis 500 and took the checkered flag at the 2018 Indy 500.

Power has now won 34 IndyCar races but never the biggest race of them all. It was his 11th try at the 'old brickyard'.

Pole sitter Ed Carpenter led the most laps (65) and finished in second place.

Danica Patrick, in her final race, smashed into the wall at Turn 2 and finished in 30th place.
