Prep Season Begins For Whitehead

Former UMaine hockey coach Tim Whitehead begins his prep school schedule with his Kimball Union Academy(NH) team today. His Wildcats play Williston Northhampton School(MA), the first of a 32 game prep schedule.

Whitehead was let go by UMaine back in the spring with one year remaining on his contract. Red Gendron was hired to take over the Black Bear program.

Kimball Union is a prep school in Meriden, NH with an enrollment of about 350. The school is located near Dartmouth College.

Whitehead's team defeated Stanstead College from Canada 2-1 a week ago.
