Preview: Bangor vs. Scarborough on 92.9 The Ticket
After a season opening road win in week one, the Bangor Rams try to improve to 2-0 when they take on Scarborough tonight at Cameron Stadium.The Rams play their one cross over game against the Red Storm from Western Maine. Last season Bangor got thumped by the Storm 34-7 who lost several players to graduation.
Bangor is led by junior running back Dane Johnson who rushed for 163 yards and 2 touchdowns last week. He also returned an interception and kickoff for scores. The Rams defense is fast and athletic which helped them hold Edward Little to 175 total yards in the opener.
Scarborough only has 4 returning starters with Zach Carriero the lone returner in the offensive backfield. Carriero opened the season by rushing for 121 yards in a loss to Sanford.
